"Saw your show on the Carnival Triumph Cruise from New Orleans, LA to Cozumel, Mexico. It was the best thing on the ship. I met Tim and Angela (relatives of your bass player). I gave them my wife's business card. She's a travel agent in the New Orleans area. If you are ever back this way, email her for places to stay or eat. We had a great time hope to catch another show one day!" - Mike Graves via Website Contact Submission

"“I Wanna Rock” is still buzzing around my head after the awesome performance your band put on at Casey’s Pub on Halloween night! My name is Tim Hartney, and I happen to be the individual that won “best overall costume” with my infamous "Twisted Sister" outfit. Not only did my group of friends and I come to Casey’s for their Halloween party, but we chose specifically to come there because Sunset Strip was playing. Your musical choices of the 80’s rock, and your theatrical appearances and high energy show, combined with the talent and charisma of some extremely talented musicians is the perfect mix of ingredients for your band to put on a fantastically fun and entertaining “concert” that is always going to be remembered and appreciated. Not only am I grateful for seeing how well my costume was received and appreciated by all in attendance Halloween night, but I’d like to give a special heart-felt “thank you” to your band for gifting me with one of my funniest Halloweens to date, as It was a great honor and privilege to be asked to join you on stage and sing “I Wanna Rock” with you all. I’m still tingling with excitement and a feeling of accomplishment from the experience you provided for me. YOU helped make this Halloween one of the best ones ever for me. So, thanks again . . . . and I will ALWAYS be looking forward to seeing Sunset Strip rock again!!!!!!"  Tim Hartney via Website Contact Submission

The Rock Report...

Sunset Strip Welcomes New Drummer, Brad E. Lee

It was an emotional night last weekend when Sunset Strip performed their last full-band show with original drummer and founding member, Chico Torres. It seemed as though the entire city of Rockford came out to The Verdi Club to bid farewell to an era and a loved member of the band. Chico is a great guy and always made time for fans. The band performed 2 blistering sets of bad-ass 80's anthems and closed the show with Chico's choice, Sweet Child O'Mine by Guns N' Roses. Chico will be performing the first 1/2…
